Thaicung flower festival 2016

2016 Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival is the pre-event campaign of the 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition in Houli. It is the first time that the festival is held in Houli Flower Farm Green Way. Themed “Flora Wonderland”, there is a 3D dynamic display of marry-go-round in which an adorable mechanical circus presents a fascinating show at the top of every hour. Unlike the still flower carpet displays in the past, the Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival this year is organized to be children’s dreamland at a brand new venue amidst brand new atmosphere!

Anaphalis Javanicus

Anaphalis javanica or Javanese edelweiss is a flowering plant species endemic to Indonesia. They are found mostly in mountainous regions of Java. southern Sumatra, southern Sulawesi, Lombok. Although a mature plant can reach eight metres in height, most specimens are less than a metre tall. The flower are generally seen between April and August. A bird species, the Javan wishtling thrush (myophonus glaucinus) ests in the plants branches.
